Tony Danza Demands Lower Rents For NYC Businesses

Tony Danza is speaking out on behalf of small mom-and-pop businesses in New York City.

The 65-year-old actor called into NYC mayor Bill de Blasio‘s weekly radio show on Friday (March 31) to ask what can be done about the rent prices that are strangling neighborhood businesses.

Tony himself owns a 125-year-old cheese shop, which the mayor highly endorsed during the program.

Despite the plug, Bill said there was not much that could be done about rent prices for small businesses.

Things seemed to work out for Tony though, who reportedly had a boost in sales following the call.
