Amal Clooney Praises Parkland Student Survivors at Watermark Conference for Women: 'They Give Me Hope'

Amal Clooney is all smiles as she arrives onstage at the 2018 Watermark Conference for Women held at the San Jose Convention Center on Friday (February 23) in San Jose, Calif.

The 39-year-old international law and human rights activist talked about donating $500,000 to help fund March For Our Lives with her husband George.

The power couple donated to the cause created after students at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida were victims of a senseless act of violence when a shooter opened fire and killed 17 people.

“I’m blown away by these students. They are the best vehicle and best hope for change,” Amal expressed onstage. “They are the best vehicle and best hope for change… The march we’re attending is their march. They give me hope.”

FYI: Amal is wearing a Diane von Furstenberg dress and Gilan diamond earrings.
