Oscars 2019 Officially Won't Have Host for First Time in 30 Years

It’s official – there will be no host at the 2019 Oscars.

ABC and the Academy have confirmed that no one will be taking over for Kevin Hart after he stepped down from hosting duties over his past homophobic remarks resurfaced.

The last time the Oscars went without a host was back in 1989 when producer Allan Carr decided on having more presenters instead of a host.

You can check out all of the confirmed presenters at this year’s ceremony here.

The 2019 Academy Awards will be airing on Sunday (February 24) on ABC.
