There were a bunch of moments that happened at the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards that you didn’t see on TV, but thankfully there are lots of photos that captured everything!

The awards show took place ahead of the Oscars on Saturday afternoon (February 23) in Santa Monica, Calif.

Aubrey Plaza hosted the event and the best in indie film for the past year was recognized. Dakota Johnson was seen hanging out with her friend Riley Keough, as well as cast members from her movie Suspiria. The whole ensemble was given a special award!

Armie Hammer and his wife Elizabeth Chambers mingled with This Is Us‘ Sterling K. Brown and his wife Ryan Michelle Bathe throughout the afternoon.
