Jordan Peele Reveals His Lifelong Fear That Inspired 'Us'

Jordan Peele‘s new film Us was inspired by a fear he’s had his entire life.

The 40-year-old director opened up about his fear of doppelgängers while making an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

“I’ve been terrified by the idea of doppelgängers since I was a kid. I’ve always had this vision of seeing myself across a subway platform and just kind of thought, ‘What if you saw yourself?’ And if that’s not creepy enough…what if the other you sort of smiled at you?” Jordan explained.
