Celebs Applaud Halle Bailey's Casting as Ariel in 'The Little Mermaid'
Celebs are reacting to Halle Bailey (not Halle BERRY) snagging the role of Ariel in Disneyβs upcoming live-action The Little Mermaid.
The 19-year-old Grownβish actress and Chloe X Halle member will take on the role of the rebel princess daughter of King Triton in the film, it was announced on Wednesday (July 3).
Halle Berry commented on Halle Bailey‘s Instagram post announcing the news, which Halle Bailey captioned, “Dream come true… π§π½ββοΈπ #thelittlemermaid.”
“YES!!!!!” Halle Berry wrote.
Lizzo added, “π₯³,” and Yara Shahidi said, “THIS IS SO BEYOND INCREDIBLE!!! And so deserved. Cannot wait to see your immense talent on the big screen β‘οΈπ.”
