John Cena Says His Relationship Philosophy Isn't 'Gender-Specific'

John Cena is opening up about his relationship and dating philosophy!

The 42-year-old pro wrestler turned actor and new girlfriend Shay Shariatzadeh made their red carpet debut as a couple at the premiere of his new movie Playing with Fire on Saturday (October 26) in New York City.

While talking with reporters, John was asked if he has game.

“No. If I have a connection with someone, I believe we’re defined by our actions, and how you treat them is a reflection on how you will treat them in the future,” John shared with Entertainment Tonight.

John then went on to say he doesn’t think his relationship philosophy is “gender-specific.”

“I think when anyone was a connection with someone, and someone says like, ‘Hey, there’s something here, and by the way, I appreciate who you are, I appreciate who you want to be, I appreciate how you live your life,’” John continued. “I don’t think that’s gender-specific. I think that’s something we all want to hear.”

Playing with Fire will be out in theaters on November 8.
