Kim Kardashian Reacts to Site Believing Fake Instagram Story

Kim Kardashian is calling out Refinery29 for falling for a fake story.

A fake Instagram post started circulating that the 39-year-old reality star had purchased the bloody shirt that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in as a Christmas gift for 6-year-old daughter North.

Refinery29 fell for the fake post and wrote an article about it, writing, “The visual of the shirt posted on her stories is jarring – and raises quesrions about why anyone would give a child something so violent.”

The article continued: “But regardless of the motivation behind the gifts, one thing is certain: Kardashian West is building one hell of a fashion archive for her daughter.”

The post has since been updated to remove the fake JFK tidbit, but fans were able to take screenshots of it and posted them online.

After reading the article, Kim took Twitter to slam the site for falling for the “sick joke.”

“WOW this is obviously fake! @Refinery29 I did not get JFK’s shirt. That is a sick joke that someone tweeted as a fake ig story that I never posted,” Kim tweeted.

If you missed it, Kim and Kanye West really did gift North with Michael Jackson memorabilia for Christmas.
