Lost in Space's Mina Sundwall Wouldn't Mind Being 'Lost' in These 5 Places!

Mina Sundwall stars in the Netflix series Lost in Space and the second season of the show recently debuted on the streaming service!

We caught up with the 18-year-old actress and were wondering, if she were to get lost in any place other than space, where would that be? Here are her top five choices:

• 1. The Lost City of Atlantis. I love a good unsolved mystery. Hidden treasures, all the “worldly pleasures in the world” as Plato described it. Maybe even a couple of mermaids for good measure. I understand the risk. I don’t even need to come back, just leave me there in the half-god-half-human utopia. I’ll manage.
• 2. Africa is probably the continent closest to my heart. Its soul, incredible contrasts, landscapes, rich cultural heritage is mind blowing. I have been to a few countries, but the entire continent deserves so much more recognition. Mozambique, and its marine wildlife, is high on my list; as are the desert in Namibia, the great migration in Tanzania, I could go on. There are also so many indigenous communities that fascinate me. In my next life I will be an anthropologist and move to some unknown little corner of Africa.

• 3. Pompeii before the volcano. I’ve visited the current site a few years ago and as heartbreaking as seeing the people, animals, houses, and streets hardened, it was such a seamless connection between past and present. So incredibly modern, with take-out restaurants, opulent villas, theatres, and Lupanar Grande, the most famous roman brothel, I guess what else do we need in a city?
• 4. I’ve never been to India; that might be my next big trip and I’ll take suggestions: Jaipur, or the YumThang Valley around the Himalayan Mountains; Panchgani is considered “paradise on earth”, I wouldn’t be too upset about getting lost in a place with that kind of reputation. I read that there are over 1,200 bird species in India (fun fact: it’s the birthplace of the number zero). Plus I have never really tasted authentic (non-Americanized) Indian food, I hear it’s a dream on a plate.
• 5. Diagon Alley. Maybe get a new broom, an owl, a wand or two… drink some proper butter beer.
