Luke Perry Left Out of Oscars In Memorium & Fans Are Not Happy

Luke Perry was left out of the In Memorium feature during the 2020 Academy Awards.

The late actor, who passed away in March last year at only 52, was skipped in the feature, which honors entertainers who made a contribution to the arts.

Kobe Bryant, Kirk Douglas, Diahann Carroll, Danny Aiello, and many others were highlighted and fans aren’t happy about Luke being omitted, considering he was in Once Upon A Time…in Hollywood, which was nominated for Best Picture at the event.

“Luke Perry’s last movie was Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The man was more talented than most current actors’ left pinky. Can’t throw his photo up for .4 seconds at the Oscars? That’s some bulls***,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

Another added, “Luke Perry was in an Oscar nominated movie this year this omission is insane.”

“luke perry walked so literally every young adult heart throb has a chance to even set a foot out,” one commented.

“Once Upon Time in Hollywood was nominated for 8.2 million awards, so someone explain to me why Luke Perry wasn’t in In Memoriam?” another exclaimed.

Luke was mentioned and honored during the in memoriam tributes at the 2019 Emmy Awards and the 2020 SAG Awards.
