America Ferrera Films Last Scene for 'Superstore' As Set Shuts Down Due To Coronavirus

America Ferrera has wrapped up filming on Superstore.

“Today is unexpectedly my last day shooting on Superstore for this season,” the 35-year-old actress revealed on her Instagram Stories on Friday. “We are shutting down production, as they are all shows on the Universal lot.”

If you remember, it was announced that America would be leaving the popular NBC series at the end of the season.

However, now that the set is shut down, it remains unclear when or if we’ll get a goodbye storyline for America‘s character, Amy.

“I assume [this] means we’ll be coming back when things clear up to finish Amy’s storyline,” she added. “But I’m about to shoot my last scene [of Season 5]… right now.”

Here’s hoping America will come back for a proper goodbye!

If you haven’t watched Superstore, you definitely need to – and now is the perfect time since we’re all social distancing because of coronavirus.

You can stream Superstore on the NBC app, and Hulu, and can rent the series on Amazon Prime, Vudu, iTunes and YouTube.
