Pyer Moss Sets Up Donation Center For Medical Professionals & Payroll For Small Businesses

Pyer Moss designer Kerby Jean-Raymond is giving back in a big way during the coronavirus pandemic.

After seeing and hearing about the shortage of masks, gloves and other PPE equipment for medical professionals, Kerby revealed on his Instagram that the Pyer Moss offices will convert into a donation center.

“We will convert the Pyer Moss office in NYC to a donation center for these items. We will use recommended hygiene and social distancing practices to receive and re-distribute these items directly to medical professionals on an as needed basis,” the company announced.

In a second post, Kerby and Pyer Moss also announced that they’re going to support small businesses with their payroll during shutdowns.

“For our friends with independent businesses: We are setting aside $50,000 for minority and women owned small creative businesses who are currently in distress,” the message reads. “If you cannot make payroll or cannot cover pressing costs to keep your business afloat, please reach out, let us know what you do and how we can help.”

Many small businesses have had to shut down and cease operations, and for some, lay off employees, during the outbreak.
