Katy Perry Gets Candid About 'Waves of Depression' Amid Pandemic

Katy Perry is being honest about the quarantine experience.

The 35-year-old pregnant “Chained to the Rhythm” singer reflected on the current global health crisis in a tweet on Tuesday (May 12).

“sometimes i don’t know what’s worse trying to avoid the virus or the waves of depression that come with this new norm,” she wrote.

Many fans chimed in with their thoughts as well, including Rosie O’Donnell, who wrote back: “totally feel ya.”

Vera Wang also replied with “hang in there firework, love ya.”

Katy does have some brighter news for fans, however: the lead single from her upcoming album is dropping in just a few days.
