How Much Money Do Royal Families Actually Receive? Find Out The Shocking Numbers!

THE NETHERLANDS

The Dutch royal family in 2020 received an estimated $49.2 million in funding, of which $6.5 million goes towards the King’s duties.

The working royal family include King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, the Princess of Orange Catharina-Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane. Queen Beatrix, the King’s mother, Prince Constantijn and his wife Princess Laurentien.

SPAIN

King Felipe VI, his wife Queen Letizia, their daughters Leonor, Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofia, and Queen Sofia (Felipe’s mother) are the only working royals receiving funds from the governmental budget.

Casa Real, the royal house for Spain, reported that the family received around $8.8 million in 2018.

However, the Bourbon family does possess eight royal palaces and five other royal county residences that add to their wealth. Spain’s National Heritage group manages them.
