The Weeknd was on hand to accept the Top Hot 100 Song award at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (May 23) in Los Angeles.

During the acceptance speech, The Weeknd said something that seemed to suggest the end of one era, and the beginning of another.
