Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick's Broadway Play Gets Opening Date After Being Postponed By Coronavirus

Broadway was shut down for most of 2020 into 2021 and now that events are starting to take place again, the Great White Way is coming back!

Married couple Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick‘s play, Plaza Suite, was supposed to open in 2020, and then was postponed to 2021. However, it was put on hold again as the virus kept ranging. Now, Plaza Suite finally has an opening date set!

The show will open on Monday, March 28, 2022 with previews beginning Friday, February 25, 2022.

They said in a statement, “We’re overjoyed to finally be able to welcome Broadway audiences to the Hudson Theatre to see Neil Simon’s celebration of New York, New Yorkers, and the wonderful ways they fall in love. We simply can’t wait.”

The show consists of three one-act plays with three different couples, where SJP and Matthew will play all the roles. Each of the one-acts takes place in Suite 719 at the Plaza Hotel.
