Busy Philipps' Child Birdie Lands First Major Acting Role!

Busy Philipp‘s child is following in her footsteps!

On Thursday (July 22), it was announced that the 42-year-old actress’ 12-year-old child Birdie has landed their first major acting role.

Gloria Calderón Kellett, who co-created the Netflix comedy series One Day at a Time, announced on Twitter that Birdie will be appearing in her forthcoming Amazon series With Love.

“More casting news. I first met Birdie when they were a baby. It is thrilling that I now get to have them on my little show. 🌈🥰 #WithLoveTV @PrimeVideo @BusyPhilipps,” Gloria tweeted.

Birdie will be playing a “non-binary recurring role” in the upcoming Amazon series, Gloria also revealed.

Busy re-tweeted Gloria‘s tweet, while adding, “This just made me cry ❤️”

Birdie is the eldest child of Busy and husband Marc Silverstein. They are also parents to daughter 8-year-old daughter Cricket.

Previously, Birdie appeared on a few episodes of Busy‘s ABC comedy series Cougar Town.

Late last year, Busy announced that Birdie is gay and goes by the “they/them” pronouns.

“Bird was like, ‘I don’t give a f–k. You can talk about that I’m gay and out. You can talk about my pronouns. That would be cool with me. That’s great,’” Busy recalled in an episode of her podcast.
