Michael Che Wipes Instagram After Sharing Offensive Simone Biles Jokes

Michael Che is facing significant backlash, and it all has to do with Simone Biles.

The 38-year-old Saturday Night Live comedian faced heavy criticism after a series of messages posted to his Instagram Story on Thursday night (July 29) about the 24-year-old Olympian.

In a now-deleted series of Stories, he complained about wanting to make jokes about Simone, and then shared some jokes written by others, with his own ratings.

“I got like 3 mins of Simone Biles jokes in my head. Im going to the cellar tonight to say them into a microphone. As the dorky kids say I’m choosing violence,” he wrote, showing a string of replies, including a joke about convicted abuser Larry Nassar.

He gave the joke a 9 out of 10 rating, and then rated a racist joke an 8 out of 10.

He then posted to his Story claiming his account was hacked, writing: “Mannnnn, i got hacked today. Can’t believe they got me. Yall know i only do jokes about whites and cops. S’all good now i changed my password and everything..yall hear about dababy tho..? that’s crazy. iight see yall at church. Imma get there early.”

The Stories quickly went viral on social media, with many denouncing them as insensitive. His Instagram account was then wiped of the posts.
