Barbra Streisand Becomes the First Woman to Achieve a Historic Billboard Feat!

Barbra Streisand is continuing to make history!

The legendary 79-year-old crooner became the first woman with a Top 20 album across seven consecutive decades, Billboard reported.

With her latest studio album, Release Me 2, which debuted at No. 15 in the most recent Billboard 200 chart, she became the only woman to have a Top 20, or even Top 40, album in every decade from the 1960s to the 2020s.

The only other act with a new top 20, or top 40, set in the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, 2000s, ’10s and ’20s is Bob Dylan, according to the chart company.

She began her streak 58 years ago on the 1963-dated chart with The Barbra Streisand Album. Now, she has an incredible 54 top 40-charting albums to her name. She is followed by Aretha Franklin, with 26.

Release Me 2 is a collection of ten previously unreleased studio performances, recorded over the course of her career.
