Mila Kunis Defends Her Stance on the Bathing Controversy, But Then Jokes She's Making it Worse (Video)

Mila Kunis is speaking out to clear up the whole bathing controversy!

The 38-year-old actress is co-hosting the new episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (September 28) and Ellen of course asked about her stance on bathing her kids.

Over the summer, Mila and Ashton appeared on the podcast Armchair Expert where they talked about their own bathing habits and the bathing habits of their kids. This led to lots of other celebs revealing if they shower regularly or not.

After Mila defended her stance in the bathing controversy, she joked that she just made things a whole lot worse for herself.

“It was on Dax [Shepard's] podcast and we were doing press… somehow the conversation derailed into bathing habits and then we started talking about how we all don’t bathe our children very often, and/or ourselves. Like, I shower every day, but I don’t wash my hair every day. I don’t find that to be a necessity,” Mila said.

She continued, “My intent every day is to bathe my children. I wake up every day and I’m like, ‘Today I’m going to shower my kids.’ And then bed time happens and I forgot to feed them and it’s just… anyways, cut to a year later, Dax is doing a press junket for something completely different and the reporter decides to ask him like, ‘You know, this whole thing has been circulating about Ashton and Mila not showering, what are your thoughts on it?’ And he’s like, ‘I’m the one who started this conversation.’”

“So this whole story has taken such a turn, but apparently The Rock showers, so congratulations The Rock, you shower,” Mila jokingly said.

Ellen then brought up how Jake Gyllenhaal “doesn’t” shower and “there are all these celebrities that are jumping onboard if they shower or if they don’t.”

Mila then added, “I mean, I shower, Ellen.”

Ellen replied, “It’s mainly the kids don’t really shower.” Mila then said, “The kids, there’s a body of water that they touch, just about every day. Almost every day. Sometimes it’s a pool, sometimes it’s a sprinkler. It just depends… it’s COVID. It was like, who showers? We don’t leave the house. Who cares?”

Mila then joked, “I don’t think I made the story any better right now. I feel like it’s going to take a whole other turn.” Ellen jokingly added, “Yeah, because you added to it that you forgot to feed them.”

“I feed my kids, you guys! Oh god,” Mila said before the segment ended.

Here’s what every celeb who weighed in on the debate has said.
