Here's Why 'The Voice' Fans Will Be Waiting a LONG Time for Another Season

The Voice will be breaking its regular TV schedule this year and fans will have to wait a while for the next season.

Ever since 2012, NBC has aired two cycles of The Voice each year, but starting in 2022, there will only be one season each year.

The network announced back in May 2021 that The Voice would not be airing in early 2022. Season 22 likely won’t air until Fall 2022!

NBCUniversal exec Frances Berwick said at the time, “Going into the 21st cycle in the fall, The Voice remains one of the most popular shows on television and we want to keep it that way. We want to eventize this iconic series. We think The Voice will be on NBC for a very long time to come and we believe the best way to protect the brand, while also superserving fans is to produce one amazing cycle this year.”

NBC will still have music on the network this spring thanks to the upcoming series American Song Contest, which premieres in late February 2022.
