MTV Movie & TV Awards 2022 Announces Two-Night Air Date & Return to Santa Monica

MTV is making an exciting announcement!

On Wednesday (March 2), the network confirmed the air dates for the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards as well as the second annual reality-centric awards show Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted.

Variety writes that the MTV Movie & TV Awards will air live on Sunday, June 5 and will be followed by Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted on Monday, June 6. Both telecasts will air on MTV internationally in 180 countries.

The shows’ hosts, nominees, performers, presenters and other details will be announced at a later date. This year both events will also be held at the Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar, after moving to the Hollywood Palladium for the first time last year.

Last year, the MTV Movie & TV Awards were hosted by comedian Leslie Jones and Nikki Glaser followed up as host of the first ever Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted.
