Rachel Zegler to Voice Lead Role in Animated Movie Musical for Apple

Rachel Zegler has landed another big role!

The 20-year-old actress, who starred as Maria in the remake of West Side Story, will voice the lead role of Princess Ellian in the upcoming animated movie musical Spellbound.

The new movie is from Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation.

Ellian is “the tenacious princess who must go on a daring quest to save her family and kingdom after a mysterious spell transforms her parents into monsters and threatens to cover Lumbria in darkness forever.”

The movie will feature an original score from Alan Menken with lyrics by Glenn Slater. Shrek‘s Vicky Jenson is directing the movie.

Rachel is currently filming the Snow White live-action remake for Disney and she will next be seen in Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

This past weekend, Rachel made her red carpet debut with her boyfriend at the Oscars.
