Barry Keoghan Arrested for Public Intoxication in Ireland

Barry Keoghan has been arrested.

The 29-year-old actor, who most recently played Joker in The Batman, was arrested last weekend for reportedly being intoxicated on an apartment balcony in Dublin, Ireland.

Barry was arrested shortly before 7am on Sunday, April 10, and brought to the Coolock garda station, according to local news outlet independent.ie.

He was later released without charge and issued with a fixed charged notice.

A source shared with the news outlet that officers responded to calls about a “man on balcony in an intoxicated state” at an apartment building near where one of Barry‘s relatives lives.

“When [officers] arrived, [Keoghan] wasn’t threatening in any way but was arrested and brought to the…station, where he was dealt with before being released,” the source shared. “The matter is finalized and nothing more will come of it.”

Barry has not yet publicly addressed the situation.
