Viola Davis In Talks To Star in 'Peacemaker' Spinoff Series

Viola Davis is in official talks to lead a Peacemaker spinoff series, according to reports.

If you’re unaware, the 56-year-old actress plays Amanda Waller in the DC series, who was revealed to be Leota’s mother in the spinoff on HBO Max.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Viola is in talks to reprise her role for a series project in the works at HBO Max.

Christal Henry will write the spinoff and executive produce with The Suicide Squad writer-director and Peacemaker creator James Gunn, Davis and Peter Safran, an EP on Peacemaker.

The outlet adds that James has spoken about his interest in a Peacemaker spinoff, and HBO Max says the show performed well.
