Miranda Lambert Shares Rare Comments About Very Public Divorce from Blake Shelton

Miranda Lambert is giving some very rare comments about her split from ex-husband Blake Shelton.

In a new interview, the 38-year-old “Mama’s Broken Heart” singer looked back at all the media attention she faced while going through a divorce from the 45-year-old The Voice judge, whom she was married to from 2011 until 2015.

“I wasn’t prepared for that,” Miranda shared with CBS News. “I don’t think anybody is. And it’s not nice sometimes, but I think you got to take it with a grain of salt.”

Despite all the rumors and gossip that was being said about the former couple at the time, Miranda revealed how she was able to tell her side of the story.

“I’m a singer-songwriter so luckily I can tell my whole truth,” Miranda explained. “I will not lie in my music.”

Miranda went on to say that she’s “grown up” a lot since going through her divorce.

“I’ve learned a lot about myself and I think at some point you start to settle into who you are,” Miranda said. “I think that’s why you feel that peace coming from me because I feel at peace with myself.”

After filing for divorce in 2015, Blake started dating Gwen Stefani, whom he married in July 2021.

Miranda went on to marrying NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin in January 2019 after just a few short months of dating.
