Peter Weber Reveals Why He Turned Down a Spot on the Upcoming Season of 'Bachelor in Paradise'

Peter Weber is spilling some secrets about Bachelor in Paradise.

In a new interview with Us Weekly, the Bachelor alum revealed he was very close to appearing on season 8 of the reality series, but ultimately decided to decline the offer due to disagreements about his contract.

“I was actually going to do Bachelor in Paradise. I was going to do it,” he shared. “We just couldn’t agree on a contract at the end of the day is what it came down to.”

“I had gotten the days off. I had this month off to go out there and I was going to give it a shot. I honestly was,” he continued. “I always kept looking at that as, like, the one venue I hadn’t, like, really checked off yet or tried.”

Peter told the outlet he was looking for love at the time and thought the show would be a good fit for him. “I thought maybe [I could] give it one more try,” he explained. “But [ABC and I] ended up not being able to agree on anything and get out there. I feel everything happens for a reason, so it’s all good.”

He also revealed that there was someone special he had wanted to pursue on the show, had he joined the cast.

“There was someone. I’m not going to spill those names, but there was someone down there,” he said. “That was the only reason that I was actually curious [about] going down there.”

While he didn’t name names, he hinted that the person he was interested in appeared as a contestant on Clayton Echard‘s season of The Bachelor. The cast for the new season of BIP has yet to be released.
