Rege-Jean Page Explains How 'Bridgerton' Led to His Role in 'The Gray Man'

Rege-Jean Page sharing some new details about his role in The Gray Man.

During an appearance on Tuesday night’s (July 26) episode of The Tonight Show, the 34-year-old actor discussed the new film and revealed the part Bridgerton played in getting him cast.

Rege-Jean explained that directors Joe and Anthony Russo offered him the role as a direct result of his role in the hit Netflix show, though the details about how they were introduced to Bridgerton are a little hazy.

“I mean, there’s different versions of the story,” he began. “So like, there’s a version that Joe tells where his wife watched Bridgerton, there’s a version where he watched it with his wife.”

He continued, “There’s a version where Anthony says he was out picking up his kids and all the mums were talking about me, and he was like ‘I need to know who this dude is.’ I mean, the common thread is essentially some powerful men had the women in their lives talk to them and we all know who run the world at this point.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Rege-Jean opened up about working with his co-stars Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling.

“Incredible and hilarious,” he replied when asked about working with the pair. “Gosling‘s got the most wonderful, wry, absurdist humor. And I think that Evans is very, kind of like, begrudgingly grateful.”

He added that Ryan was “throwing out disses” to Chris between takes. “There’s a ton of those on the cutting room floor.”
