Olivia Wilde Opens Up About Life As a Single Parent

Olivia Wilde wore a red suit as she exited the DGA theater in New York City on Tuesday (September 20).

The 38-year-old actress and director appeared as a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show and was asked about single parenting by Kelly Clarkson, who is also a single parent.

“I think reshaping a family is tricky,” Olivia said, who shares her kids with former partner Jason Sudeikis.

“The one benefit is it’s allowed for some really deep conversations with my kids about emotions, and about happiness, and about what family means, and love, and it’s actually allowed me to get to know them in a different way,” Olivia said.

“My priority is them,” Olivia said of her children, Otis, 8, and Daisy, 5. “That’s what it is. It’s as long as they’re happy and they’re healthy then, my ex and I, we agree on that. They are everything to us.”

“If you can surround them with so much love, then it’s OK. But, you know, it’s tricky because we’re not doing it in private,” Olivia said to Kelly, who recently finalized her divorce with Brandon Blackstock.

Olivia has been very busy promoting her movie Don’t Worry Darling with premieres at the 2022 San Sebastian Film Festival and in New York City with boyfriend Harry Styles.
