“Earlier today, it was inaccurately reported that Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex would be appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on December 7,” a representative for NBC said.

Fans also assumed it was true, as the timing coincides with the time that Meghan and Prince Harry will be in town for the Ripple of Hope Gala on Tuesday, December 6 in New York City.

She was reportedly meant to open up about her recent endeavors as well as talk about her forthcoming Netflix docu-series with Harry.

“Looks like someone at NBC didn’t get the memo. Despite an announcement via their various PR channels, Meghan isn’t scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show,” royal reporter Omid Scobie noted.
