Quentin Tarantino Reacts to Criticism of Use of N-Word & Graphic Violence in His Movies

Quentin Tarantino has a response for critics of his films.

The 59-year-old Once Upon a Time in Hollywood director made an appearance on HBO Max’s Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace.

During the appearance, Quentin was asked about the graphic violence and frequent use of the N-word in his movies, and he had a very blunt reaction to criticism.

“You talk about being the conductor and the audience being the orchestra,” the host told the director, via Variety. “So when people say, ‘Well there’s too much violence in his movies. He uses the N-word too often.’ You say what?”

“You should see [something else],” Quentin answered.

“Then see something else. If you have a problem with my movies then they aren’t the movies to go see. Apparently I’m not making them for you.”

Among his supporters is Samuel L. Jackson, who defended the use of the word in the movies.

“It’s some bulls–t. You can’t just tell a writer he can’t talk, write the words, put the words in the mouths of the people from their ethnicities, the way that they use their words. You cannot do that, because then it becomes an untruth; it’s not honest. It’s just not honest,” he said to Esquire.

He also confirmed that his next movie will be his last.
