Selena Gomez Reveals Fred Armisen's Reaction After She Named Her Kidney After Him

Selena Gomez is opening up about her love for Fred Armisen.

In an interview with Rolling Stone from last month, the 30-year-old actress/singer revealed that she named her kidney after the 56-year-old Portlandia actor.

While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday (December 5), Selena shared how Fred reacted to her revelation.

“So, I got a kidney transplant a couple years ago and as a way of coping, I thought I would name it,” Selena started. “That’s weird I know, but I did. But I named it after Fred Armisen.”

When Jimmy asked why she named her kidney after Fred, Selena said it was because she’s such a big fan of his.

“Because I love Portlandia and I love everything that he does,” Selena said with a laugh. “So, I’m like, ‘Hey, watch Fred, guys.’”

As for how Fred reacted, Selena said, “Yeah, he sent me flowers. I was so excited.”

In another recent interview, Selena explained why she almost didn’t release her My Mind & Me documentary.
