Christina Applegate Gets Really Honest About Receiving Her MS Diagnosis
Christina Applegate opened up about what it was like to receive her multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis while filming Dead to Me.
The 51-year-old Married with Children actress said that shooting Dead to Me at that point was the “hardest thing” she’d done in her entire life because she was diagnosed while shooting the show.
But she prefaced her description of her experience with noting that there are four different types of MS and that everyone’s symptoms can be different. “I couldn’t walk, Christina said of being on set.

“They had to use a wheelchair to get me to set. I was freaking out until someone was like ‘You need an MRI.’ And then, I found out on a Monday after work that I had MS, you know, a disease that I am going to have for the rest of my life,” Christina said on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
“And then I started thinking about the last four years, and I had very small symptoms,” Christina continued. “Let’s not all be hypochondriacs and run to the doctor when your leg gets weak
After Kelly empathetically acknowledged how hard that must have been for her, Christina said, “Can I say it sucked balls?”
