Gillian Jacobs shows off many sides of herself in a new trailer for the film The Seven Face of Jane.

The 40-year-old Community actress stars as Jane, who drops her daughter off at sleepaway camp and drives away from her mundane life into an exciting odyssey on the road. Jane’s obstacles, connections and moments were created playing a game of exquisite corpse—a method of creating art by collectively assembling random parts to create a whole.

According to the MoMa, exquisite corpse is “a game in which each participant takes turns writing or drawing on a sheet of paper, folding it to conceal his or her contribution, and then passing it to the next player for a further contribution.”

The film has a total of eight directors: Julian J. Acosta, Xan Cassavetes, Gia Coppola, Ryan Heffington, Boma Iluma, Alex Takacs, Gillian Jacobs, and Ken Jeong.

The Seven Face of Jane will be released in select theaters and streaming on January 13, 2023.
