Tamar Braxton Rushed to Hospital While Battling the Flu

Tamar Braxton was unexpectedly hospitalized this week.

On Friday (December 23), the 45-year-old singer and TV personality took to social media to reveal she was rushed to the hospital after suffering some very serious flu symptoms.

“This isn’t an attention post… this is an ATTENTION post,” Tamar wrote on Instagram. “Literally I was with my best friends @normankgyamfi and @wardellmalloy shopping and doing Christmas fun sht and the VERY NEXT DAY I had to be taken to the hospital by AMBULANCE, needed oxygen cause I thought God was taking me home cause I could not breathe and my chest was on FIRE!!”

Tamar said that she was taken to the Northside Hospital in Atlanta where she treated by the “best” nurses and doctors, including Married to Medicine star Dr. Jackie Walters.

“Yall, I have the FLU 🤦🏽‍♀️ and let me tell u it’s worse than COVID in my opinion,” Tamar wrote. “I’m on 5 different medications 😩”

Tamar concluded her post by telling her fans and followers to stay safe this holiday season.

“Please be careful.. I wasn’t around a lot people and have NO IDEA where it came from,” Tamar added. “Enjoy y’all holiday AT HOME.. u don’t want this🤦🏽‍♀️ .. oh yeah I’m completely isolated cause it’s hella contagious 😷 I love y’all for real ❤️”
