Ben Savage Files Paperwork to Run for House of Representatives Seat

Ben Savage wants to represent California.

The 42-year-old Boy Meets World star is planning to run for a U.S. Congressional seat, according to a new report.

Likely in anticipation of Representative Adam Schiff‘s expected run for Senator Dianne Feinstein‘s seat in the Senate, Ben filed paperwork to enter the race to represent California’s 30th district, which includes parts of Los Angeles and cities north of the area, via TMZ.

Previously, Ben attempted to run for L.A. City Council in November and lost, gaining 6.3% of the vote and landing in seventh place.

He’s registered as a Democrat, and interned for then-U.S. Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania back in the 2000s while he was a student at Stanford University.

He also just got engaged!

Back in the current Congress, the House Minority Leader was officially elected into the position following a 15th ballot vote.
