That’s a really rewarding feeling when you write a song and people love it, but you don’t know what a hit is. Everybody thinks they do and everybody thinks they know how to make one, but no one does. Everybody just kind of bumbles through it. And when you chase a hit, you make garbage, right? It’s most of the stuff that you, most of the stuff that really hits is the stuff when you’re just feeling inspired or whatever and you’re just having… It’s weird.”
