'Topdog/Underdog' Co-Stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II & Corey Hawkins Link Up at Tony Awards 2023

Topdog/Underdog co-stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Corey Hawkins are both in the running for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play at the 2023 Tony Awards, but the duo presented a unified front on the red carpet.

They posed for photos together outside the ceremony, which is hosted at the United Palace Theatre in New York City’s Washington Heights on Sunday night (June 11).

Yahya and Corey are facing off against Sean Hayes (who attended with husband Scott Icenogle), Stephen McKinley Henderson (who attended with wife Pamela Reed Henderson) and Wendell Pierce in the category. Brandon Uranowitz already took home the win in the Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play category. He was joined on the red carpet by husband Zachary Prince.
