Steve-O Detained by Police After Jumping Off London Bridge

Steve-O was briefly detained by police in London.

On Friday (July 7), the 49-year-old comedian and Jackass star took to Instagram to share a video of himself jumping off the famed London Bridge into the River Thames.

Steve-O – who is currently on tour in the U.K. and planning on film this third comedy special – was decked out in an “I [heart] London” shirt while wearing British flag-print socks and bucket as he took the plunge off of the bridge.

After the jump, Steve-O was detained by police.

“I was detained by police after doing this jump off the Tower Of London Bridge yesterday, but they were totally cool, and understood that I’m just super excited to be taping my THIRD (and craziest by far) comedy special on Friday, July 14 in London (where I was born!),” Steve-O wrote along with the video.

On his Instagram Story, Steve-O talked to the camera about the comedy special moments before getting placed in the back of a police car.

Steve-O later chatted with TMZ where he said the craziest part of the stunt wasn’t the jump, but instead was how “absolutely filthy” the River Thames is.

Prior to jumping off the London Bridge, Steve-O also jumped off of a double decker bus to promote the special.

“I asked for a professional photographer in London to shoot me illegally climbing onto the roof of a big, red double decker bus, and @mikechudley absolutely killed it!” Steve-O captioned the first post. “The bus driver was really cool about the surprise, too — I promised him we would obscure anything identifiable about him or his individual bus! What a day I had yesterday.”

Back in 2020, Steve-O taped himself to a billboard to promote another comedy special.
