Jonah Hauer-King is the latest actor to become a Disney Prince, but he faced stiff competition for the part!

The 27-year-old shares the screen with Halle Bailey in a live action retelling of Disney’s classic fairytale The Little Mermaid.

Before Jonah was cast in 2019, six other actors were confirmed to have auditioned for the part. One of them was even a superstar musician who we later learned turned the offer down. Another had some heated thoughts about the casting decision.
