Hugh Jackman & Deborra-Lee Furness Separating After 27 Years of Marriage

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are ending their marriage.

On Friday (September 14), Hugh, 54, and Deborra-Lee, 67, announced in a joint statement that they were separating after nearly 30 years of marriage.

“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” Hugh and Deborra-Lee shared with People. “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness,” Hugh and Deborra continued. “We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives. This is the sole statement either of us will make.”

Hugh and Deborra-Lee married 27 years ago on April 11, 1996 after meeting the year before on set of the Australian TV series Corelli.

Together they share two kids – Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.

Hugh and Deborra made their last public appearance together in May at the 2023 Met Gala.
