Eminem Reponds to Reports He Used Gunshot Sound Effects During Show

Eminem is responding to reports that he used gunshot sound effects during his 2018 Bonnaroo set on Friday (June 8).

While the 45-year-old rapper was performing his 2000 song “Kill You” from The Marshall Mathers LP, fans heard a loud pop sound, and many were very upset.

A rep for Eminem is denying he used any such sound effects.

“Contrary to inaccurate reports, Eminem does not use gunshot sound effects during his live show. The effect used by Eminem in his set at Bonnaroo was a pyrotechnic concussion which creates a loud boom. He has used this effect — as have hundreds other artists — in his live show for over 10 years, including previous US festival dates in 2018 without complaint,” the rep told People.
