Jeffree Star Slammed for Launching 'Cremated' Makeup Line During the Pandemic
Jeffree Star is causing controversy with the new eyeshadow palette he just announced as part of his beauty brand.
The 34-year-old beauty mogul will be releasing a collection called “Cremated” and he told his fans to “get ready to be deceased” by the new makeup… in the middle of a pandemic.
People are slamming Jeffree for being insensitive during a global crisis. The families of many victims are being forced to cremate their loved ones because they are unable to hold funeral services due to the pandemic.
“Introducing the #CREMATED eyeshadow palette & collection!!!! ⚱️ This one of a kind spooky @jeffreestarcosmetics 24 pan gothic dream will wake up the makeup world!” Jeffree wrote on social media.

Some people are defending Jeffree though because the name was chosen last September.
ppl getting mad over #CREMATED when the name got trademarked last year…before covid…plus, lots of goth products are named after things related to death. We don’t romanticize death, we normalize it because it’s a thing that happens in this world that no one wants to talk about
