British TV Programming Changes to Honor Prince Philip - Find Out What Is Playing
Prince Philip sadly passed away on Friday (April 9).
As a result, many things are now happening throughout the United Kingdom, including a complete change in TV programming.
British programmers are in the midst of changing their schedules over to news coverage and tributes to the late royal.
The BBC just suspended its broadcast schedule until 6 p.m. on Friday. And now, Prince Philip will receive broadcast news coverage well into the evening and Saturday (April 10) on the network, via Variety.
ITV will similarly air ongoing news coverage. At 5 p.m., the network will air the tribute Prince Philip: Duke of Edinburgh, followed by live program Prince Philip, Fondly Remembered at 7 p.m., featuring presenter Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham. At 9 p.m., Prince Philip: A Royal Life will air, featuring royal correspondent Chris Ship.
Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky have not yet made schedule announcements, but that could change.
