Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Wesley walk the red carpet at the 2013 Critics’ Choice Awards held at Barker Hangar on Thursday (January 10) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The Vampire Diaries actors all went up on stage during the show to present awards. The awards ceremony aired on The CW, the network their hit series airs on.

The critics were in charge at the 2013 Critics’ Choice Awards held at Barker Hangar on Thursday (January 10) in Santa Monica, Calif.

One of the biggest surprises of the night came when Ben Affleck picked up the award for Best Director, just hours after he was snubbed of an Oscar nomination. His film Argo also won the award for Best Picture!

Other big winners included Lincoln‘s Daniel Day-Lewis for Best Actor, Zero Dark Thirty‘s Jessica Chastain for Best Actress, The Master‘s Philip Seymour Hoffman for Best Supporting Actor, and Les Miserables‘ Anne Hathaway for Best Supporting Actress.

Jennifer Lawrence was also a triple winner during the evening! She picked up awards for Best Actress in a Comedy (Silver Linings Playbook), Best Actress in an Action Movie (Hunger Games), and Best Ensemble (Silver Linings Playbook).

Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne hit the red carpet at the 2013 Critics’ Choice Awards held at Barker Hangar on Thursday (January 10) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 26-year-old actress looked lovely in a Marios Schwab dress, Roger Vivier shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz earrings while the 31-year-old actor was dapper in an Acne suit.

Amanda and Eddie were up for the award for Best Ensemble for their work in Les Miserables, but they lost out to the cast of Silver Linings Playbook.

Earlier in the day, Amanda was spotted out and about grocery shopping with a pal.

The 40-year-old actor/director is nominated in the Best Director category for his film Argo.

The flick is also nominated for six other awards including Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Score, Best Picture, Best Acting Ensemble, as well as Alan Arkin‘s nomination for Best Supporting Actor!

The 29-year-old actress is up for Best Actress in an Action Movie for her work in Looper.

Emily is nominated against Haywire‘s Gina Carano, Skyfall‘s Judi Dench, The Dark Knight Rises‘ Anne Hathaway, and The Hunger Games‘ Jennifer Lawrence.
