Brendon Urie Gave Halsey a Sweet Gift After She Was Bullied

Halsey is sharing a super sweet story about Brendon Urie!

The 24-year-old “Without Me” singer has been a longtime fan of the 32-year-old Panic! at the Disco singer.

The duo, who are now close friends, started talking on Twitter before they meet face-to-face in 2013. After their second meeting – at one of her concerts in Los Angeles – she decided Brendon was the “coolest guy in the music industry.”

“Anybody who knows anything about me at all knows how much I loved Panic! at the Disco growing up,” Halsey told SiriusXM. “I think I actually talk about them in every single interview.”

Brendon Urie is honestly my hero and I’m lucky enough to have him as a friend now,” she continued. “So, when I went to one of their shows when I was a kid, I got a wristband for being in the pit and I’m telling you I didn’t take this thing off for like a year. I showered with it covered in plastic. I wanted to keep it on as a memory of the concert forever.”

Halsey then revealed that a bully at school ripped it off her arm one day, saying, “Ha ha, look, you don’t have your stupid wristband anymore.”

“Flash forward a couple of years and Brendon Urie comes to one of my shows in Los Angeles, and I tell him this story,” she added. “Well, he must have been moved by it that the next day I got a bouquet of flowers that had wrapped around them two Panic! at the Disco pit wristbands to replace the one that I had lost 10 years ago.”

Halsey and Brendon have both recently spoken out to support Taylor Swift after her master recordings were sold to Scooter Braun. See Halsey‘s thoughts here and Brendon Urie‘s here.

Brendon Urie Stands Up for 'Me!' Collaborator Taylor Swift

Brendon Urie is speaking out to support his friend and “Me!” collaborator Taylor Swift after her master recordings were sold to Scooter Braun.

The 32-year-old Panic! at the Disco singer told fans his take on the controversy during a live stream on social media.

“This Scooter Braun s–t, like what a piece of s–t, right? You guys know about this dude?” Brendon said during the stream. “It just like broke my heart, I read Taylor‘s statement and I was like, ‘That sounds about right.’ Toxic dudes doing toxic bulls–t in this toxic industry.”

Brendon then started speculating about the legality of the business deal.

“It’s disgusting, right? What a f–king asshole. I thought that was illegal, to do a business turn behind the people who write the stuff. Like you can’t do it without their knowledge. There’s a certain amount of time legally that you have to let the people know,” Brendon said. “There’s gotta be a precedent for that.”

Here are all of the stars who are publicly supporting Taylor amid the controversy.
