David Rubin, the president of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, has responded to Will Smith‘s resignation from the organization.
Will was previously a member of the Academy and was among the people who voted for the awards winners each year. Following his assault on Chris Rock during the show this past weekend, he decided to resign from the Academy before they could take any disciplinary action against him.
Now, Rubin has revealed that disciplinary proceedings will still happen.
