'Blockbuster' Creator Explains James Corden Joke in Episode 6 of Netflix Series

James Corden is the butt of a joke in the new Netflix series Blockbuster, in which he is called both a “bully” and a “menace.”

The inclusion of the joke is very timely after James‘ behavior has been called into question after a restaurateur said that the late night host is the “most abusive customer” his establishment has served in 25 years.

The new Blockbuster series debuted on Netflix on Thursday (November 3), but it was filmed many months ago, so the timing is purely coincidental.

Blockbuster series creator Vanessa Ramos is now speaking out about the joke.

James Corden Responds to Accusations of Stealing Ricky Gervais' Joke

James Corden has responded after he was accused of stealing a joke from Ricky Gervais.

On the latest episode of The Late Late Show on Monday night (October 31), James told a joke that was very similar to what Ricky said in 2018.

Here’s Corden‘s joke, told last night: “If someone puts up a poster in a town square that says ‘guitar lessons available’, like you don’t get people in the town going: ‘I don’t want to play guitar! I want to play the piano you piece of s**t’! Well that sign wasn’t for you. It was for somebody else! You don’t have to get mad about all of it.

Here’s Ricky‘s joke, told in 2018: “That’s like going into a town square, seeing a big notice board and there’s a notice – guitar lessons – and you go, ‘But I don’t want f***ing want guitar lessons. Fine, it’s not for you then, just walk away. Don’t worry about it!”

Ricky has already shared his thoughts on the joke.
