Mariah Carey is engaged to her boyfriend James Packer, her rep confirms to JustJared.com.

“The happy couple did get engaged this evening,” her rep told us in a statement.

The engagement happened on Thursday (January 21) while the couple was in her hometown in New York, according to E! News.

Mariah‘s engagement ring is reportedly 35 carats and no wedding date has been set at this point.

While the couple has known each other since 2014, they first started dating back in June and they flaunted their love all over Europe this past summer.

Congratulations to the happy couple on the exciting news!

The evening before, the superstar entertainer was spotted with her entourage doing some shopping at Cartier and Louis Vuitton during her vacation.

Mariah took to her Instagram just earlier today (January 11) to share her thoughts on the late David Bowie after he died at age 69 this weekend.

“David Bowie we will always remember your brilliance,” Mariah captioned with her post. “Heartfelt condolences to family, friends and fans around the world.”

Mariah Carey hits the stage at the Crown Casino’s New Year’s Eve Party for a special performance on Thursday (December 31) in Melbourne, Australia.

The superstar entertainer performed at her boyfriend James Packer‘s casino for the packed crowd! James and some other guests were in attendance to cheer on Mariah!

Mariah Carey is having a blast in the snowy weather while celebrating the holidays with her family, including new boyfriend James Packer and her ex Nick Cannon.
