Ahead of the ceremony, the group also launched a pop-up shop in Los Angeles including iconic looks from the era, which runs from April 28 to May 1.

JC revealed that the group “agreed on dressy casual” for the ceremony, which will be the first time he reunites with Joey Fatone, Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass since his 40th birthday party in 2016.

“For me, [Mickey] Mouse Club was high school, *NSYNC was college and now I’m living life! I think everybody goes through those different phases, and that’s also what can make us relatable to a lot of people. We’re just doing it like everybody else,” he said.

“We’ll still give them a little bit here and little bit there, but there aren’t any plans for music. There are no talks about a reunion tour now. You get cool merch for now, and then the future is what it is.”

“I’m here right now. If I was doing something, I’d be at rehearsals right now…so obviously, there’s your proof. Nothing. And there’s nothing wrong with that. He’s doing his thing,” Joey explained outside Delilah.

Joey also shut down the idea of a Janet Jackson cameo: “He’s not that kind of person. He’s not controversial like that. He is in a sense, but he’s not in a sense to do it deliberately.”

NSYNC Isn't Reuniting Despite Lance Bass's Comments

We’re sorry to tear up your hearts with this news, but *NSYNC has clarified that they do not actually have a big reunion or new music planned.

The rumor mill kicked into high gear after Lance Bass revealed that the former boyband would be celebrating their 20-year anniversary by reuniting to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and dropping a vinyl re-release of their 1998 Home for Christmas album.

“We always appreciate the love and excitement from our fans unfortunately Lance‘s comments to the press were taken out of context,” the group tweeted from their official account on Friday (February 17). When there is real news from *NSYNC you will hear it from all of us.”

Joey Fatone also commented on the news, along with Lance himself.

Some news to lift your spirits up, though: Lance also shared that the group keeps in contact every day via a group text thread.

“All we do is bag on each other all day long,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “Joey gets a lot of the brunt of our jokes. I mean, those guys are my brothers and so we act like immature brothers all the time.”

Here’s something to look forward to this year – *NSYNC is going to reunite at some point this year!

Lance Bass revealed that the former boy band is going to celebrate their 20-year anniversary by reuniting to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“We’re doing something [special]. I don’t know if I can announce it yet,” Lance told ET. “We’re coming out with a really cool vinyl edition of our Christmas album because it’s coming up on the 20 years of that [1998 Home for Christmas] album.”

“And then we’re going to be getting our star on the [Hollywood] Walk of Fame this year at some point,” Lance added. “We’ll all be there! We just have to decide on a date. We’re terrible at planning things.”

“We’re five guys, so for us to make a decision about anything is really hard, so we just need to do it. So hopefully maybe around Christmas time,” he said. “It’ll be fun to see everybody again.”
